The counting of votes continues after the parliamentary elections in Armenia.
Modern.az reports with reference to the Central Election Commission of Armenia that after 98% of the votes were collected, the "Civil Contract" Party led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan collected 49.82% of the votes.
According to the latest picture, the political force led by Pashinyan will have 64 seats in the parliament, the "Strong Armenia" Party 29, and the "Armenia" Bloc 12 seats (mandates).
According to the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, a simple majority (50% of the total number of deputies + one vote) is sufficient for the election of the Prime Minister, the approval of the composition of the Cabinet of Ministers (government), as well as the adoption of ordinary laws.
Thus, Nikol Pashinyan's party once again gets the chance to form the government alone.
