Based on the latest data from the Central Election Commission of Armenia on the final results of the voting, the exact distribution of seats in the new parliament has become known.
Modern.az reports that the "Civil Contract" Party led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan won 61 of the total 105 official seats in the National Assembly.
The other mandates were distributed among political forces according to the following internal schedule:
"Strong Armenia" Bloc – 28 seats
"Armenia" Bloc – 11 seats
"Prosperous Armenia" Party – 5 seats
It should be noted that since "50% + 1 vote" (at least 53 mandates) is required to form a government alone in the 105-seat parliament, Pashinyan's party officially secured the right to form a cabinet alone again, without a coalition, with 61 seats. However, this result shows that the ruling party has significantly lost its previous hegemonic position in parliament.
