The head of the Armenian Patriarchate of Istanbul, Sahak Mashalyan, met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Modern.az reports that during the meeting, issues of interest to the Armenian community in Turkey were discussed.
The parties also exchanged views on the work done for the restoration of the “Forty Infants” church in Iskenderun and the “Sarkis” church in Diyarbakır.
Archbishop Sahak Mashalyan thanked the Turkish President on behalf of the Armenian community for his attention, wished him good health and success in his activities.
