"People's poet Nariman Hasanzade glorified the national-spiritual values, patriotism, and ideas of humanism of the Azerbaijani people throughout his entire creative work."
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Sadagat Huseynova, Deputy Minister of Culture, speaking at the farewell ceremony for People's Poet Nariman Hasanzade.
According to her, Nariman Hasanzade was a prominent representative of Azerbaijani literature, a great master of words, and a well-known public figure.
"Nariman Hasanzade was a tireless glorifier and promoter of our national-spiritual values throughout his entire creative activity. The main essence of his poetry was the ideas of patriotism and humanism. The poet, who gained great favor from readers from his first works, earned this love with his unique artistry and sensitive attitude to human destiny," the deputy minister said.
Sadagat Huseynova noted that Nariman Hasanzade's poems, epics, and dramatic works constitute bright pages of Azerbaijani literature. She emphasized that the poet's books such as "Who has a question to think about?", "My night, my day", "To all nations", "I want a little respite from life" and others still maintain their relevance with their ideological and artistic features today.
The deputy minister stated that Nariman Hasanzade, in addition to being a talented poet, was known as a prominent intellectual who actively participated in the country's literary, cultural, and public life for many years. His services in the development of Azerbaijani literature and culture were highly appreciated by the state.
Sadagat Huseynova recalled that Nariman Hasanzade was awarded the honorary titles of "Honored Art Worker" and "People's Poet", the "Shokhrat", "Istiglal", Heydar Aliyev orders, as well as other high state awards in various years. He was a Presidential scholarship holder since 2002.
At the end of her speech, the deputy minister extended deep condolences on behalf of the Ministry of Culture to the family, relatives, and the entire literary and cultural community of the deceased.
"May Allah have mercy on Nariman Hasanzade, may his soul rest in peace," Sadagat Huseynova added.
