Actress and ballerina Natalya Trubnikova, known for her role as Princess Melisenta in the film "June 31", has passed away at the age of 71.

Modern.az reports that the "Kino-teatr.ru" portal released information about this.

Larisa Nikolaevna, the wife of the actress's brother, confirmed her death.

"Natalya passed away last night. I was with her last on Thursday. She was not feeling well," she said.

According to information given to RIA Novosti by the actress's family, Natalya Trubnikova suffered from Alzheimer's disease and in recent times was unable to move independently:

"She suffered from Alzheimer's disease, lived alone, and couldn't even peel an egg herself. She was not in a good condition. She would fall but couldn't get up. She would call her neighbors, and they would come and help her up. She could only move with the help of a walker."

It should be noted that Natalya Trubnikova was born in Moscow in 1955. She was involved in dance from an early age. Trubnikova graduated from the choreography school at the Bolshoi Theatre, and later from the ballet master faculty of the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS).

She performed on the stage of the Moscow Academic Musical Theatre named after Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko.

The actress made her film debut in 1976 in the film "12 Chairs". She played the role of the ship captain envisioned by Ostap Bender in the film.

Trubnikova gained great fame for her role as Princess Melisenta in the film "June 31".

The actress also starred in films such as "Clown", "Hat", "Death in Flight", "The Secret of the Snow Queen", "Alaska Kid" and others.
