A driver who failed to yield to a pedestrian has been detained.
This was reported to Modern.az by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It was stated that, according to the requirements of the legislation, a driver turning right or left at an intersection must yield to pedestrians crossing the carriageway of the road they are turning into, as well as to cyclists crossing this carriageway via a bicycle path.
During the event, a driver who violated this requirement at an intersection by failing to yield to a pedestrian was detained, and a prophylactic conversation was held with them, explaining the requirements of the legislation.
"Safe movement on the roads is the individual responsibility of each of us", the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated.
