Israel's Foreign Minister Gideon Saar visited Martyrs' Alley and Victory Park.
Modern.az reports that this information was published on the minister's “Facebook” page.
"During a visit to Martyrs' Alley to commemorate those who died in the Karabakh wars, as well as the victims of “Black January”, I laid a wreath on the grave of Jewish-origin soldier Albert Aqarunov, who died while serving as a tank officer in the First Karabakh War, and at Victory Park in Baku.
Albert Aqarunov was posthumously awarded the title of National Hero of Azerbaijan and buried in Martyrs' Alley. At his funeral ceremony, alongside rabbis, Muslim religious figures also participated, which was an event symbolizing rabbinism in Azerbaijan”, - it was stated on the minister's social media account.
