The remains of Mehriban Arif qizi Garayeva, a missing martyr of the First Karabakh War, were laid to rest in the Alley of Martyrs in Sumgait.
Modern.az reports that the martyr's family members, the leadership of the Sumgait City Executive Power, employees of law enforcement agencies, military personnel, war participants, and representatives of the public attended the funeral ceremony.
The remains of martyr Mehriban Garayeva were buried accompanied by a military orchestra and a volley of fire.
It should be noted that Mehriban Garayeva was born on March 27, 1970, in the city of Sumgait. In 1992, she voluntarily joined military service. She went missing in the village of Sirkhavand (Aghdara) that same year.
The remains of our servicewoman, who had been considered missing for many years, after relevant expertise and identification procedures, were identified in a mass grave in Aghdara district and handed over to her family.
