The remains of martyr Zibeyda Badal qizi Ahmadova, who had been registered as missing for many years, were discovered after 34 years and laid to rest today, February 20, in the Martyrs' Alley of Khojaly city.

According to information provided to Modern.az by the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction, and Management Service in Khankendi city, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts, Zibeyda Ahmadova, born in 1938, was born in Khankendi city. In 1988, she became an internally displaced person from Khankendi city and settled in Khojaly district. She went missing on February 26, 1992, during the Khojaly tragedy. At that time, she was 54 years old. During investigations conducted in the liberated territories, her remains were discovered in the territory of Aghdara district. After genetic expertise and identification processes carried out by relevant state bodies, the remains were handed over to her family.

It should be noted that employees of the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Khankendi city, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts, the Restoration, Construction, and Management Service, city residents, law enforcement officers, and relatives of the martyr attended the funeral ceremony of martyr Zibeyda Ahmadova. The Azerbaijani flag draped over the martyr's coffin was presented to her only child, her son Fakhraddin Ahmadov.
