Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of Russia Today, made another scandalous statement.
Modern.az reports that Simonyan, speaking on one of the federal TV channels, suggested sending bread and wheat to Armenia. She speculated that people were eating drug-laced mushrooms due to lack of money and could therefore vote for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the elections.
In addition, Simonyan said, "Thank God I am a citizen of the Russian Federation, not the Republic of Armenia." She stated that Armenia could not exist without Russia and expressed shame for her surname ending due to recent events.
