Kürşad Zorlu, Deputy Chairman of Turkey's ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) and Head of Relations with Turkic States, stated that cooperation between Turkic states has significantly expanded in recent years.
Modern.az reports that Kürşad Zorlu, speaking at the symposium titled “New Horizons in the Integration of the Turkic World: A Strategic Vision Towards a Common Future” held in Ankara, stated that relations, which once developed in only a few directions, now cover more than 30 sectors and fields.
According to him, direct or indirect activities related to the Turkic world are carried out within the framework of almost all ministries.
“The most important factor connecting us is our common language and ancient culture. We do not limit the Turkic world only to the Organization of Turkic States; we consider it a broader geography of hearts,” he emphasized.
Zorlu noted that the software for the Turkic World Civil Society Support System (TÜDSES) project, prepared by the Department of Relations with Turkic States, has already been completed.
“We are bringing all civil society organizations together on a single digital platform. The presentation of the project will be held on June 23 in Istanbul. Through this system, organizations will be able to communicate with each other and convey their problems and suggestions to the relevant institutions,” he said.
Kürşad Zorlu also announced that the Turkic World Youth Camp will be held in Kocaeli on July 3-5.
He noted that economic cooperation is strengthening, stating that the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway is operating at full capacity, and work continues on the Zangezur corridor, Caspian transit energy projects, the Development Road, and the Hejaz railway projects.
Zorlu also emphasized his belief that steps taken towards a common alphabet, terminology, and communication language among Turkic states will accelerate.
