Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO), Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade will not attend the funeral ceremony of Iran's late supreme leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
According to information obtained by Modern.az, Sheikhulislam will be on another pre-planned foreign trip on the dates when Khamenei's funeral ceremony will be held.
Thus, Allahshukur Pashazade will visit Uzbekistan to participate in official events to be held in that country on those days. As a result, his participation in the farewell and funeral ceremony to be organized in Tehran will not take place.
It should be noted that Seyyed Ali Khamenei's farewell ceremony will begin on July 4 at 06:00 in the Imam Khomeini Musalla complex in Tehran and will continue until 20:00 on July 5. After the ceremonies in Tehran and Qom, Khamenei's p will be taken to four cities in Iraq, and then returned to Mashhad for final burial.
The late supreme leader is expected to be buried in Mashhad on July 9.
