Severe charges have been brought against the parents of a 7-year-old, 116-kilogram child after his death in Michigan.
Modern.az reports with reference to foreign media that, according to the investigation, the parents fed the child mainly chips and french fries for years. As a result, he developed severe obesity and lost the ability to walk in the last months of his life.
It is reported that the child spent almost the entire day in bed. His parents took him for a medical examination only once, and then did not go to the hospital.
The investigation materials also state that serious unsanitary conditions prevailed in the family's home. Allegedly, the heart problems that developed in the child eventually led to his death.
The prosecution has brought several charges against the parents, including second-degree murder.
