Female deputies representing the opposition in the Armenian parliament demanded a change in the pre-trial detention measure chosen for Aregnaz Manukyan, a member of the Board of Directors of the "Mother Armenia" Party.
Modern.az reports that the deputies issued a joint statement in this regard.
The statement requested that Aregnaz Manukyan's pre-trial detention measure be immediately replaced with an alternative measure not involving deprivation of liberty.
Opposition deputies also called for the full assurance of the rule of law, the right to a fair trial, and international standards in the field of human rights.
