Reza Pahlavi, the son of Iran's last Shah, claimed that Mojtaba Khamenei has disappeared and is in hiding if he is still alive.
Modern.az reports that he spoke about this in a statement he issued.
"Mojtaba has disappeared. If he is still alive, he is hiding in the darkness of some basement, even afraid to speak. The enemy is rotting and emptying from within. We, on the other hand, are more determined and better organized than before," Pahlavi said.
He called on his supporters to believe that a change of power in Iran is imminent:
"Believe that the dawn of freedom is near. Today, the Islamic Republic is weaker, more exhausted, and internally emptier than before."
Reza Pahlavi also announced that they will cooperate with foreign states in the fight against the Iranian government:
"We are not alone on this path. We will cooperate with other states in the world to save our country and free Iran and the Iranian people from the rule of this enemy."
