Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi left Tehran for New York on Sunday evening.

Araqchi will make a short stop in Doha, the capital of Qatar, as part of his visit to the USA. It is reported that the Iranian foreign minister will hold consultations here regarding the latest events in the region.
Araqchi's visit will take place a few days before Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian's visit to New York. The Iranian leader also plans to attend the annual session of the UN General Assembly.
The Iranian press has not yet provided additional information about other details of Araqchi's visit program, as well as the consultations he is likely to hold in Doha.
