Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan will immediately hold consultations and provide each other with necessary assistance if there is a threat of armed attack by third states.
According to Modern.az, the issue was discussed at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on International Relations and Interparliamentary Relations.
The committee reviewed the draft law on the approval of the "Agreement on Allied Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kyrgyz Republic".
The agreement was signed on July 31, 2026, in Cholpon-Ata.
According to the document, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan will build their relations on the principles of mutual respect for independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
The parties will not participate in blocs directed against each other, and will also refrain from activities that harm the allied relations of the other party.
Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan will not allow their territories, resources, communication systems, and other infrastructure to be used for aggression and hostility against the other party.
According to the agreement, the parties will expand military and military-technical cooperation, and conduct joint operational and combat training measures between their armed forces. Cooperation in the field of training military personnel and specialists will also be deepened.
The document envisages the development of international transport corridors and transit opportunities, the simplification of cargo transportation, as well as measures to ensure the timely delivery of goods to the markets of both countries and third states.
The parties will also expand cooperation in the fields of energy, renewable energy, logistics, satellite technologies, digital development, agriculture, tourism, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
The agreement is not directed against third states and does not affect the rights and obligations of the parties arising from other international agreements.
