Onursal Adıgüzel, the mayor of Ataşehir municipality in Istanbul, has been arrested.
Modern.az reports, citing the Turkish press, that O. Adıgüzel and 20 other individuals, including his deputies, were detained on April 18 on charges of taking bribes, forming and leading an organized group for the purpose of committing a crime, being a member of such a group, and falsifying tender results.
A pre-trial detention measure has been chosen for the accused, including O. Adıgüzel, who appeared before the judge.
