Israel's former ambassador to Azerbaijan, George Deek, has been appointed as a special envoy for Christian world affairs.

According to the information, he was appointed to this position by Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar. This appointment aims to deepen Israel's relations with Christian communities worldwide.
It should be noted that C. Deek is a professional diplomat with 18 years of experience. Until recently, he served as Israel's ambassador to Azerbaijan and was the first Christian ambassador in the country's history to be appointed to this post. Deek was also awarded the title of "distinguished leader" at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
