Ukraine is reportedly agreed to stop attacks on foreign-flagged tankers heading to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) terminal near Novorossiysk in the Black Sea, under pressure from the US and possible mediation from other countries.

According to the information, the US acted as a mediator in the agreement with Ukraine to stop tanker attacks.
It is reported that the reason for this was Ukraine's carrying out a series of attacks in the Black Sea last month that affected CPC's operations.
It is noted that Ukraine's attacks targeted tankers sailing under foreign flags and entering or approaching the CPC's offshore terminal near Novorossiysk.
According to the information, at least one of the attacked vessels was leased by the US company "Chevron".
Representatives of the company, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, protested the attacks. They emphasized that CPC is a purely commercial project not involved in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
The CPC pipeline transports oil extracted from Kazakhstan's land territory over a distance of approximately 1000 miles through Russian territory to a terminal near the port of Novorossiysk.
According to the source, CPC provides approximately 80 percent of Kazakhstan's oil exports and at least 2 percent of global oil supplies.
Kazakhstan and CPC appealed to the US and other parties after two attacks occurred at the end of July.
According to "Bloomberg", "Chevron" CEO Mike Wirth personally called US President Donald Trump and asked him to intervene.
According to the information, Ukraine has agreed not to attack tankers sailing under foreign flags and not subject to Ukrainian sanctions.
