Germany will deploy "Patriot" anti-aircraft missile systems in southeastern Turkey.
Modern.az reports that "Berliner Zeitung" published this information, citing a statement from the German Ministry of Defense.
The ministry stated that "Patriot" anti-aircraft missile systems and approximately 150 German soldiers will be deployed in Turkey from late June to September.
It was noted that this step is related to the situation around Iran.
Previously, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that his country was ready to participate in ensuring the safety of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, including with the involvement of military means.
