Former editor-in-chief of "Sovetski Sport" newspaper Alexander Kozlov has died.

Alexander Kozlov, former editor-in-chief of "Sovetskiy Sport" newspaper, once the most popular sports newspaper in the former USSR, has died.

Modern.az reports that he was 79 years old. The information was published on the publication's website.

The funeral ceremony will be held on June 1.

Alexander Kozlov was born in 1947. He served as editor-in-chief of "Sovetskiy Sport" newspaper from August 2001 to December 2003.
