The Armenian Ministry of Defense has denied reports about the deployment of 840 French servicemen on the country's territory.
Modern.az reports that Aram Torosyan, spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Defense, spoke about this in a statement to Factor TV.
According to him, the claims circulating have no connection with reality.
"The collection of fake materials being spread is another disinformation campaign within the framework of hybrid activities carried out against Armenia. The purpose of such information attacks is to create distrust and internal tension in society, as well as to undermine trust in cooperation between Armenia and its international partners," Aram Torosyan said.
It should be noted that in recent days, claims about the deployment of hundreds of French servicemen in Armenia had spread on social media and some platforms.
