Russia closes German Consulate General

Russia is closing the German Consulate General in St. Petersburg.

Modern.az reports that the Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement about this. It was stated that German diplomats were required to leave Russia by September 18, and employees of the Goethe Centers by September 13.

The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that the responsibility for the new escalation lies entirely with Berlin.
