Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi held telephone conversations with high-ranking officials from several countries amid rising tensions in the region.
Modern.az reports that the Iranian Foreign Minister discussed the regional situation with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barro, Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, his British counterpart, and Pakistan's Army Chief of Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir.
According to the information, during the talks, views were exchanged on Iran's response to Israel's attacks on southern Lebanon and Beirut's Dahiya region, as well as the latest situation in the region.
The Iranian side stated that the country launched dozens of missiles on Sunday evening in response to Israel's attacks in Lebanon. Tehran also warned that if Israel continues its attacks on Lebanon, harsher retaliatory measures will be taken.
