Thousands of SpaceX employees became millionaires after the IPO.
Modern.az reports that Andrew Benson, founder and CEO of "Hill.com", said: "You usually see founders become billionaires. It is unusual to have 400 people with more than $100 million in wealth. This speaks to the enormous wealth created here."
According to NYT, one of the former SpaceX employees who profited from the IPO is 42-year-old Gavin Pety. He joined the company in 2012 as an engineer with an annual salary of $80,000 and bought several thousand shares at $13.80 each. Pety, who took his bonuses in the form of shares for years and kept the main part of them, now has more than 50,000 shares, which has made him a millionaire.
