Former Armenian President, war criminal Robert Kocharyan stated that the court process against him is politically motivated.
Modern.az reports that Kocharyan linked the process to political pressure from Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during his speech at the trial on the criminal case related to the March 1 events.
"This is a political order. Previously, this order was sent via SMS, but now it is openly stated that I should be arrested," the former president said.
Kocharyan noted that he is not asked important questions about the merits of the case during the trial, and a political decision stands behind what is happening.
He also filed a motion to terminate the criminal prosecution against him.
