US launched new strikes on Iran

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that a new series of strikes against Iran had been launched at the direction of President Donald Trump.

Modern.az reports that CENTCOM released information about this.

It was stated that the operation began at 16:00 US East Coast time (00:00 Baku time).

According to the US military command, the purpose of the strikes is to further weaken Iran's military capabilities. Washington claims that these capabilities are used for attacks against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

CENTCOM did not provide additional information on the progress and results of the operation.
