Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that he discussed cooperation in the fields of energy and defense industry with Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zeidi.
Modern.az reports that Erdogan said that the Iraqi side stated its readiness to supply Turkey with 1 million barrels of oil per day.
"They told us that we can send 1 million barrels of oil to Turkey per day. In this case, there will be no need to depend on other sources. If oil supplies of this volume start from our neighbor Iraq, we can meet our needs," the Turkish President said.
Erdogan added that Ankara, in turn, is ready to contribute to the supply of defense industry products that Iraq needs.
