On August 10, a trilateral meeting was held in Washington D.C. between Elnur Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Alison Hooker, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Political Affairs of the United States of America, and Vahan Kostanyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

According to the information, the meeting took place on the first anniversary of the historic Washington Summit held on August 8, 2025, and was dedicated to the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current situation and next steps regarding the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) initiative. In this context, efforts to advance the implementation of relevant understandings, as well as to realize TRIPP's potential to contribute to ensuring unhindered regional connectivity, economic development, and lasting peace, were discussed.
The parties also exchanged views on the ongoing process of border delimitation between Azerbaijan and Armenia, emphasizing the importance of continuing practical work in this direction based on the agreements reached.
Special attention was paid to confidence-building measures that support the strengthening of mutual trust and the sustainable implementation of the peace process.
The parties expressed their gratitude to the US side for hosting the trilateral meeting on the first anniversary of the Washington Summit and emphasized the importance of translating the commitments made into concrete results.
