Today, a meeting of the Economic Council was held.

On the agenda of the meeting held under the chairmanship of the Economic Council, Prime Minister Ali Asadov, tasks arising from the extensive interview given by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to local television channels on January 5, 2026, and socio-economic development indicators for 2025, the Action Plan of the Economic Council for 2026, “Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026” and the Report on the monitoring and evaluation results for 2025 of the “I State Program on the Great Return to the Liberated Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, the presentation of the “Working Group on Reforms for Eliminating Obstacles and Difficulties in Entrepreneurial Activity and Improving the Business Environment”, the Activity Report of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication for 2025 and the Action Plan for 2026, and other topical issues were discussed in detail.
Reports by Natig Amirov, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, were heard on the agenda items. Members of the Economic Council, as well as Minister of Justice Farid Ahmadov, spoke on the issues presented at the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, decisions were made taking into account the opinions and proposals of the members of the Economic Council, and relevant instructions were given to the respective institutions.
