The visit of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) delegation to Azerbaijan these days is of particular importance. The delegation included Jason Isaacson, AJC's Director of Policy and Public Affairs in Washington, responsible for international and domestic issues, as well as Ali Ibrahimzadeh, a member of the organization's National
Leadership Council in Los Angeles. During the meeting with the guests, we had a broad exchange of views on Azerbaijan's multiculturalism model, which is cited as an example in the world, the policy of tolerance promoted at the state level, and the traditions of peaceful coexistence of various peoples in an atmosphere of mutual respect. We specifically noted that the Jewish
community in Azerbaijan has historically been an integral part of our society and is still surrounded by the attention and care of the state. The absence of anti-Semitism in our country and the kind attitude shown to representatives of different religions and nations once again demonstrate the humanist nature of Azerbaijan's state policy. This visit is of great importance for strengthening both Azerbaijan-US public relations and international humanitarian dialogue. Azerbaijan once again proves that multiculturalism here is not just a slogan, but a real way of life and state policy.
