In the first three months of this year, local executive bodies of the Ministry of Justice had 134,000 alimony cases in their proceedings.
This information was provided by the Ministry of Justice in response to an inquiry from Modern.az.
"Currently, approximately 2,500 of the ongoing alimony cases (approximately 1.9 percent of all alimony cases in proceedings) involve women as the debtor," the official statement emphasized.
It should be noted that in 2025, there were a total of up to 142,000 alimony cases in proceedings.
