Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) of Turkey Devlet Bahçeli stated that it is necessary to focus carefully on the Zangezur corridor, which ensures the strategic connection of the Turkic world between West and East.
Modern.az reports that Devlet Bahçeli said during his speech at the group meeting of his party:
“We said Zangezur corridor, but let's call it correctly now, this line is the Turan corridor. The Turan corridor is the gate of its historical and cultural future extending from Kars to the Turkestan steppes.”
It should be noted that on August 8, 2025, US President Donald Trump met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the White House. The two leaders signed an agreement there, and that agreement also covered the Zangezur corridor project.
The project is known in the international arena as the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP).
