Our last serviceman martyred in the anti-terror measures carried out for the restoration of the state sovereignty of the Republic of Azerbaijan is Ulvi Bagirov.
Modern.az reminds that our 22-year-old serviceman was in a coma for 7 months after suffering severe injuries in the battles and ascended to the peak of martyrdom in April 2024.
Bagirov Ulvi Hanifa son was born on March 22, 2001, in Salyan district.
After completing his secondary education at the Aliyagha Kurcayli Secondary Lyceum, he entered the Heydar Aliyev Higher Military School. Ulvi Bagirov, who chose the military profession, also participated in the Patriotic War.
During the 44-day war, Ulvi Bagirov participated in the battles for the liberation of several settlements of Azerbaijan and was awarded the "Brave Warrior" medal by the relevant orders of the President of Azerbaijan, Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, for his bravery.
In September 2023, Ulvi Bagirov's combat path continued during the local anti-terror measures carried out in Karabakh. Ulvi Bagirov, a serviceman of the Azerbaijani Army, was seriously wounded on September 19, 2023, during anti-terror measures.
The serviceman received long-term treatment. Ulvi Bagirov, who remained in a coma for 7 months, died in the Military Hospital on April 7, 2024, and ascended to the peak of martyrdom. Our martyred officer was buried on April 8 in the Alley of Martyrs in Salyan city, where he was born.
