Seal carcasses were found near Bautino village, Tupkaragan district, Kazakhstan, on the coast of the Caspian Sea.
Modern.az referring to the "Kazinform" agency, reports that a local resident who saw the large marine mammals and reported it to the relevant authorities stated that six dead seals were lying on the shore. Two of them had fishing nets entangled around their necks.
The Department for the Protection of Fish Resources of Mangistau region announced that inspectors from all authorized bodies were dispatched to the scene in connection with the incident.
It should be recalled that in May of this year, 279 dead seals were found on the shores of Mangistau, and in July, one dead seal was discovered on the coast of Aktau.
