Turkey is preparing to produce its own fighter jets and aircraft carriers in the near future. This was announced by the country's President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that Turkey largely meets its needs in the fields of unmanned aerial vehicles, missiles, warships, helicopters, and tanks through domestic capabilities, the President stated.
He noted that fighter jets and aircraft carriers will also be added to this list in the near future.
Erdoğan emphasized that the achieved result is the product of long-term and consistent activity. According to him, the steps taken in the last 23 years have enabled the strengthening of Turkey's strategic independence in the defense industry.
