The Turkish authorities will take additional legal measures to restrict firearm ownership in the country.
Modern.az reports with reference to "TRT Haber" that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated this after the Cabinet meeting.
According to him, after the recent armed incidents in schools, security measures will be strengthened and responsibility for gun owners will be increased.
Erdoğan noted that many people died and were injured as a result of the incidents in Kahramanmaraş and Şanlıurfa.
The President added that the fight against fake news spread on social networks will be strengthened, "virtual patrol" will be expanded, and the cybersecurity capabilities of law enforcement agencies will be increased.
