The ceasefire between the US and Iran will remain in effect only if a ceasefire is also secured between Israel and Lebanon. This is one of the conditions put forward by the Islamic Republic.
Modern.az reports that Iran's permanent representative to the UN, Amir Saeid Iravani, stated this.
"One of the conditions we put forward is that the ceasefire regime should apply to the entire region, including Lebanon," SNN TV channel quotes him as saying.
Iravani also stated that Iran is ready to resolve the conflict with the US both diplomatically and militarily.
"If they want to sit at the negotiating table, we are ready, but if they choose the path of war, Iran is also ready for that," the diplomat noted.
