Iran is trying to learn modern US and Israeli weapon systems through “reverse engineering”.
Modern.az reports with reference to Al Jazeera that Tehran is trying to create analogues of military technologies by analyzing their construction, which it obtained through various means. According to the information, Iran is particularly interested in high-precision weapon systems such as “Tomahawk” cruise missiles, “Reaper” unmanned aerial vehicles, JASSM-type missiles and GBU-57 bunker-buster bombs.
According to experts, a serious concern is that Iran is not acting alone in this direction. Thus, the potential technical support of Russia and China can significantly expand Tehran's capabilities.
It is noted that within the framework of possible cooperation, the risk of obtaining important information in critical areas such as control systems, electronic countermeasures and radar evasion technologies increases. This can lead to a change in the military balance in the region.
