Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that he and most members of the government will go on vacation during the pre-election campaign period.

Modern.az reports with reference to Armenian media that Pashinyan said this at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers and reminded that the campaign period starts tomorrow.

According to him, the main priority of the government is to hold parliamentary elections in accordance with international standards, ensure the free will of citizens, and exclude all forms of voter bribery and pressure.

“Our law enforcement agencies have done a great job, but vigilance cannot be reduced,” Pashinyan said, adding that if it was possible to hold elections at the proper level in 2021, the current campaign should also comply with the same standards.

The Prime Minister also emphasized that opposition forces do not face any obstacles when organizing rallies and meetings with voters — whether in open squares or in closed spaces.

Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 7.
