The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) of Ukraine wants the former head of the Presidential Administration, Andriy Yermak, to be remanded in custody.
Modern.az reports with reference to “RBK-Ukraine” that SAPO head Oleksandr Klymenko announced this during a briefing.
“The prosecutor's office will demand the selection of a pre-trial detention measure and, alternatively, the determination of a bail in the amount of 180 million hryvnias,” Klymenko said.
According to the information, Yermak is suspected of being involved in an organized group involved in the legalization of funds related to the construction of elite real estate near Kyiv.
In response to the allegations, Andriy Yermak denied information about owning elite real estate, stating that he only owns an apartment and a car.
The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine will consider the issue of a pre-trial detention measure for Yermak today.
