Another prisoner exchange has taken place between Russia and Ukraine.
Modern.az reports that the Russian Ministry of Defense issued a statement on the matter.
It was stated that 205 Russian servicemen who were in Ukrainian captivity were returned to the country. At the same time, the Russian side also handed over 205 Ukrainian servicemen to the other side.
According to the information, the United Arab Emirates acted as a mediator in the prisoner exchange.
The Ukrainian side has not yet made an official statement on the matter.
It should be noted that US President Donald Trump had previously announced that a large-scale prisoner exchange would be carried out between the parties during a three-day ceasefire period covering May 9-11. According to him, within the framework of that process, it was planned that one thousand people from both sides would be mutually released.
