The agreement between Iran and the US provides for Tehran to open the Strait of Hormuz within 30 days after the agreement is concluded.
Modern.az reports that this was reported by “Washington Post” on May 24, citing sources.
“According to the latest proposal signed by the diplomat, Iran will immediately open the Strait of Hormuz and take steps to restore maritime traffic to pre-war levels within 30 days,” the publication states.
It is also envisaged that Iran, the US and their allies will announce an immediate cessation of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanese territory. The newspaper noted that the proposal also includes Iran's confirmation of its renunciation of nuclear weapons development and its consent to the destruction of its existing stockpiles by an agreed method.
