US President Donald Trump said on June 3 that if Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio decide to run together in the 2028 presidential election, they will be difficult to defeat.
Modern.az reports with reference to Reuters that Trump said:
"I think JD Vance and Marco Rubio would be a very strong team and would be very difficult to beat. This is an interesting human issue, a human equation. I watch them together, they get along very well."
Both individuals are considered potential figures who could be candidates from the Republican Party in the 2028 elections. Rubio's speech in Congress on June 2 was highly praised by Republicans and even some Democrats.
Although Trump occasionally talks about the possible succession of power in 2028, Vance and Rubio deny that they are preparing for the election campaign.
