Gagik Sarukyan, leader of the “Prosperous Armenia” Party, has filed a lawsuit against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Modern.az reports that Armenian media has spread information about this.
It was noted that Sarukyan demands the court to refute a number of statements made by Pashinyan against him.
According to Armenian media, the statements in question, made on May 28, include “criminal”, “spy”, “agent”, “entering into a criminal conspiracy”, “robbing the Armenian people”, as well as “the inclusion of Andranik Tevanyan in the party list at the instruction of foreign special services”.
The opposition politician stated that these expressions are insulting and slanderous, demanding a total of 9 million drams (24,400 dollars) in compensation for moral damage and loss of reputation.
According to the information, 3 million drams of the demanded amount were calculated for insult, and 6 million drams for damage caused by slander.
