Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the victory of his Civil Contract Party in the parliamentary elections.

Tokayev noted that, according to the preliminary assessments of international observers, the elections were held in accordance with the country's electoral legislation, openly and in the necessary conditions for the free expression of citizens' will.
The Kazakh leader wished Pashinyan success in his activities for the national interests of Armenia and emphasized his country's readiness to continue cooperation with Armenia in all areas of mutual interest.
It should be noted that, according to the Central Election Commission of Armenia, after counting more than 90% of the ballots in the parliamentary elections held on June 7, Pashinyan's Civil Contract Party is leading with 50.25% of the votes.
