The Kremlin will not rush to congratulate Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan until the final results of the Armenian parliamentary elections are announced.
Modern.az reports that Russian President's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said this in a statement to journalists.
According to him, Moscow is waiting for the official announcement of the final results of the elections.
"We prefer to wait for the announcement of the final results. After that, appropriate assessments will be given," Peskov said.
It should be noted that according to the preliminary results of the parliamentary elections held in Armenia, the "Civil Contract" Party led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took the leading position by collecting 49.83 percent of the votes. However, the final results of the elections have not yet been officially confirmed.
