A 4.8-magnitude earthquake has occurred in the Granada province of Spain. As a result of the natural disaster, three people sustained minor injuries, and significant destruction was recorded.

It was reported that the earthquake occurred after 10:30 local time. The epicenter of the earthquake was in the municipality of Gójar, just a few kilometers from the municipality of Alhendín, where another 4.8-magnitude earthquake was recorded three days ago – on the morning of August 15.
In addition to Granada, the tremors were strongly felt in Malaga, Cordoba, Almeria, Jaen, and other cities.
Within the first 20 minutes after the earthquake, 4 aftershocks were recorded. In the next two hours, two more aftershocks occurred.
As a result of the incident, three people reportedly sustained minor injuries, and there was significant destruction in the area.
