It has been announced that an assassination attempt was made on Fuad Pashayi, the secretary-general of Iran's opposition monarchist "Mashruteh" party, in Los Angeles.
Modern.az reports that, according to information from the party, the incident occurred on Monday at 7:45 PM Los Angeles time.
The statement indicates that as a result of the attack, Fuad Pashayi is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit.
The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the incident. No additional information has yet been released regarding how the attack occurred, the identity of the suspect, or the motive for the incident.
The "Mashruteh" party is one of Iran's opposition monarchist political organizations. Fuad Pashayi serves as the party's secretary-general.
According to the party's statement, the main focus is currently on Pashayi's health and the investigation of the incident by law enforcement agencies.
